Malaysia Mega Sale is back.
Also known as the
1Malaysia Mega Sale & 1Malaysia Unified Sale 2013, the event was officially
launched this afternoon by the Minister of Tourism and Culture, YB Dato'
Seri Mohamed Nazri bin Tan Sri Abdul Aziz (seen here wearing the white
baju melayu).
Tourism Malaysia of
invited a total of 134 participants from 17 countries to attend the launch
which was held at KARYANEKA (Kuala Lumpur Craft Complex).
Here is photo of
the Singapore contingent. From left – Thomas Cheng (CPI Travel Pte Ltd),
Jenny Ho (Classic Travel Pte Ltd), Bun Guat Eng (Crest Travel & Tours Pte
Ltd) and Leslie Chang (BIG Rallye Pte Ltd).
The programme for
all the participants includes various presentations of upcoming events, a
welcoming performance and a fashion show.
While in Kuala
Lumpur, one cannot miss the iconic PETRONAS Twin Towers. Located at the
base of the towers is Suria KLCC – a mall with more than 400 shops housing many
international brands. It is also a foodie paradise with several renowned
restaurants serving local fare.
We also learnt that
the 2,000 solar panels installed on level 6 is capable of
producing 660,000 kilowatts - enough to power 200 homes!
The Tallest Liuli
Crystal Fountain in the country is located at the main entrance of the
Pavillion.
Some participants
took the opportunity to practice the European traditional way of throwing their
coins backwards into the fountain.
‘Tokyo Street @
Pavillion’ is a little Japan away from the land of rising sun.
